Club Competition Groups

Saturday Competitions

Templeton's Saturday competitions are one of the most professionally run in the country. If you're busy throughout the week and want to engage in some social, but competitive golf, the Saturday field is for you.

With grades to suit all handicaps and genders, our field is very diverse and inclusive with tee times rolling from 7.00am until 1.30pm in the summer to accommodate the availability of our members. In the winter, two tee starts are used with a morning and afternoon field in action.

The programme is crafted by our expert committee and professional which has been refined over time to suit the formats our members love to play! Of course, the key trophy events such as the Club Championships, Dingles Dustbowl, Shootout and Top Dog feature throughout the season to increase the stakes (and the glory).

There is a small fee for each comp which helps funds the prizes, as well as raffles and free lucky member draws to be won each week making it even more worthwhile to be a part of!

If you're still on the fence, don't hesitate to contact the pro shop on (03) 349 7493 and they will help sway you over the line and answer any question you may have.

Twilight

Twilight takes place over the summer months and is a popular choice for many on Wednesday evenings.

From mid October until Mid March, every Wednesday has a 12 hole twilight competition with tee times available from 3.30pm until 6.00pm which bolsters a diverse demographic.

Members pay $7 to participate whilst visitors pay $12. Prizegiving takes place at 8.30pm where a mixture of prizes are given out (mostly generous meat-packs) and players enter the upstairs lounge where they can choose from a range of dinner options and socialise with other players.

Tuesday Ladies

Our Ladies day takes place on a Tuesday at 9.30am in Summer and 10.00am during Winter. We have a contingent of ladies who participate in a range of competitions and trophy events throughout the year.

Each week players pay a small fee to go in the competition of the day and this money is redistributed as prizes. Also, every week groups are randomly drawn to promote players mixing things up, being social and playing with different people.

This group is inclusive and welcomes all new members and are open to hosting guests from other clubs, or those who want to try it out and see what it's about. Please contact Raylene Adler, our Ladies Club Captain on if you wish to learn more.

Wednesday Competition and Watering Tournaments

Each Wednesday we host a stableford competition for members ($7) and non-members ($17) which take place in the morning between 9.30am and 11.00am (Summer) / between 10.00am and 11.30am (Winter)

If you're by yourself, there are plenty of regular groups of twos and threes who participate who will be willing to host you, as well as vacant slots for the organised groups of fours out there.

Prizes come from our partners at Lincoln New World and are hefty meat-packs that are well worth your time winning. There are also twos prizes for those par 3 wizards out there.

Every second Wednesday of the month, we host the Watering tournament which is a fundraising event which rolls around a few of the local clubs. Entry is $15 and there are plenty of raffles available for those keen punters out there. Tee times run from 10.00m until 12.00pm off tees 1 and 10.

If you're interested in playing either of these competitions, be sure to contact the Pro Shop on  (03) 349 7493 and get your name down!

Thursday Group

Our Thursday Group hosts on average about 30 members who each bolster a tonne of membership experience under their belts (the total group adds up to over 600 years of commitment and service).

The Thursday group start at 10.00am all year round and tee off holes 1 and 10. All members are welcome to join in on their game of the day and they run their own programme which has a variety of fun games and competition. Visitors can join at the committee's discretion.

For members wanting to join in on the fun, give the Pro Shop a buzz and they will get you in contact with Grant Laffey, the organiser.
